FAQ'S
Botox, Dysport, and Letybo are all FDA-approved and have excellent safety profiles when administered by trained professionals. At Radiance at Fluhme, all treatments are performed under the supervision of board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Lori Cherup, ensuring the highest standards of safety and care.
All three are FDA-approved neurotoxins that work similarly to relax muscles and reduce wrinkles. Dysport tends to spread slightly more, making it ideal for larger areas like the forehead. Botox has the longest track record and is the most established brand. Letybo is a newer option offering comparable results at a competitive price point. Our team will recommend the best option for your specific needs during your consultation.
There's no specific age requirement. Some patients start in their mid-20s for preventative purposes, while others wait until lines become more visible in their 30s, 40s, or beyond. The right time is when you notice dynamic wrinkles (lines that appear with facial expressions) that bother you. We'll help you determine if treatment is right for you during your consultation.
Side effects are typically minimal and temporary. You may experience slight redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, which usually resolves within a few hours to days. Rarely, patients report mild headaches. Serious complications are extremely rare when treatments are performed by experienced injectors.
Most neurotoxin treatments take just 10-15 minutes, making them perfect for a lunch break or quick appointment. There's no preparation required, and you can return to your normal activities immediately afterward.
No downtime is required. Most patients return to work and regular activities immediately after treatment. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for 24 hours and not lying down for 4 hours after treatment to ensure optimal results.
You'll begin to notice improvement within 3-7 days, with full results visible around 2 weeks post-treatment. For special events, we recommend scheduling your appointment at least 2 weeks in advance.
Results typically last 3-4 months, though duration varies based on individual metabolism, treatment area, and muscle strength. Many patients schedule maintenance appointments every 3-4 months to maintain their refreshed appearance. With consistent treatment, some find results last slightly longer over time.
